Drivers who flout the law off the road found themselves the target of a two-day operation by police.
Neighbourhood officers from both the rural and urban teams and the off-road police motorcycle team patrolled Bearsted and Mangravet on Thursday, April 8 and Shepway and Bredhurst on Friday, April 9.
The aim was to deter and educate those using off-road vehicles in an anti social manner and also target those committing motoring offences.
Two vehicles seized for having no insurance, nine on-the-spot fines were issued to motorists not wearing seatbelts and five for those using phones while driving.
One person was issued a section 59 warning for using their vehicle in an anti-social manner.
Children were also able to get their bikes security marked free of charge at the mobile police station. If their cycle is stolen it can now easily be identified and returned to its rightful owner.
Other officers, on bike and foot patrol, knocked on doors and spoke to passers-by to help identify the issues of most concern.
Rural Neigbourhood officer PC Ian Loader, who organised the event, said: "This operation was organised as a direct response to feedback from local residents about people using their vehicles anti-socially and committing road offences, such as speeding, using a mobile while driving or not wearing seatbelts.
"It’s a minority who commit such offences, yet those who use off road vehicles in an anti social manner cause others a great deal of distress and can be danger to the public. I hope this action shows we take a tough line on such crimes."
