Two women were hurt when a second-hand washing machine sparked a shed fire in East Farleigh.
One, aged in her 30s, suffered burns as she tried to tackle the flames, while the other, in her 50s, needed treatment for smoke inhalation.
Fire crews had been called to a home in Stockett Lane shortly before 1pm after the blaze erupted.
It is thought to have been caused by a recently purchased second-hand washing machine.
Firefighters doused the flames and left the scene after an hour.
Both women were treated by paramedics.
