Two men arrested on suspicion of supplying drugs after a house was raided by rivals yesterday morning have been releasing by police.
A suspected handgun was found outside number 2 Orchard Place, Maidstone, after police were called to a disturbance shortly after 1am.
Neighbours said three men brandishing the gun, a metal baseball bat and a knife had battered down the door and dragged an occupant out in his underwear before beating him in the street.
Officers attended the address and cannabis was found.
Two men aged 27 and 36 and from Maidstone were arrested on suspicion of being involved in the supply of cannabis but have now been released pending further investigation.
A police spokesman said: "Crime scene investigators have also recovered an item located close to the property, resembling a handgun. This has been sent off for forensic tests."
The area was cordoned off for much of yesterday while forensics and dogs teams worked at the scene.
Blood could be seen on the door frame of number 2 yesterday afternoon, while there were also specks in nearby Bower Place outside the First and Last pub.
No one else has been arrested in connection with the incident.
