Drivers faced delays this afternoon as one lane of busy Upper Stone Street in Maidstone was closed due to an accident.

The incident happened at 1.30pm, when two vehicles - a Vauxhall Astra and a Ford Transit Tipper can - collided at the junction with Brunswick Street.

One lane had to be closed as a recovery vehicle was needed for one of the vehicles.

The lane was closed for 25 minutes and reopened at just before 2pm.
