Taco Bell, the Mexican food chain, has announced a date for the opening of its first restaurant in Maidstone.
It will be in Week Street, in the premises that formerly housed Bill's Restaurant, and will open its doors on Thursday, March 31.
The branch will become the chain's 92nd UK outlet.
At present, outfitters are still busy at the premises, but the company is inviting customers to download Taco Bell app now, to be in with a chance to be one of the first 100 customers on opening day, who will all receive a free taco.
Taco Bell is known for its known for its Mexican-inspired tacos, burritos, nachos and its quesadillas.
Head of marketing Lucy Dee said: “We’re delighted to be able to bring Taco Bell to Maidstone.
"Kent has been crying out for more Taco Bells and we’re very pleased to be able to deliver; creating local jobs despite challenging circumstances."
She said: "We look forward to feeding Maidstone residents whether it be via home delivery, click and collect, takeaway or dine in.”
The restaurant will open from 11am until 11pm, seven days a week.
Last week, the chain revealed it hopes to open in Canterbury.
