Bomb disposal officers were called to woodland near Tunbridge Wells this afternoon after an unexploded mortar bomb was discovered.

The alarm was raised in Brokes Wood, Power Mill Lane in Southborough at 12.53pm.

Police sealed off part of the woodland and bomb squad officers successfully cleared the bomb.

The scene was cleared by 4.20pm.
