More on KentOnline
It's (almost) a wrap, as the final day of filming on the grounds at one of Kent's best kept secrets is underway.
Stars Liz Hurley and Joan Collins are among the cast of The Royals, which is currently shooting its second season at Allington Castle near Maidstone to air on E! later this year.
The drama, produced by Lionsgate, focuses on a fictional British royal family living in modern day London.
Home to Sir Robert Worcester and Lady Worcester, Allington Castle is hidden in 42 acres of land and is renowned for its picturesque location.
Reports of film trailers and crews parked in Allington Community Association on Castle Road were made, which, during filming at the historic home, is a usual occurrence.
The show follows Elizabeth Hurley as a contemporary Queen of England, Helena, along with Vincent Regan as her husband, and the lives of their twin children, played by Alexandra Park and Will Moseley.
Actors have posted images of their time at the castle, near Maidstone, on various social media accounts - praising the views.
Dame Joan Collins also appears in the show with a recurring role as Queen Helena's mother - The Grand Duchess of Oxford.
The show is set to return on E! in America in November, and will air in the UK on the same channel later this year.
