Another legendary figure will join the stellar line up at this year's Hop Farm Festival - Van Morrison.

Those behind the festival have announced the Northern Irish singer will headline a second date on Friday July 2, with other acts yet to be announced.

In March promoters announced that Bob Dylan would headline the festival on Saturday July 3, supported by performers including the Kinks' Ray Davies, Mumford & Sons, Peter - aka Pete - Doherty, Seasick Steve, Laura Marling, The Magic Numbers and Foy Vance.

The arrival of "Van the Man" will further boost the Hop Farm's fast growing reputation as one of the summer's biggest draws for festival-goers.

Probably best known for his 60s hit Brown Eyed Girl, Morrison has continued to receive critical acclaim throughout his career, winning six Grammy Awards along the way.

Albums like Astral Weeks and Moondance made famous his unique style which draws on folk, rock n' roll and jazz but remains impossible to pigeon-hole.

The two day event includes three stages, real ales, fun fair, food stalls and a camping area.

Tickets are now on sale with Friday tickets at £45 & Saturday tickets at £65. A 2 day ticket is also available for £110, with the option of a 2-night camping ticket for £25.
