A MAN who died after he was struck hit by a truck on Seven Mile Lane, near East Peckham, near Maidstone, at the weekend has been identified.

He was Michael Peacock, of Drage Road, East Peckham, who is believed to be in his early 50s. He was walking on the side of the road when he was hit near to the junction with Roydon Hall Road, at about 4.40pm on Saturday.

The road was closed for four hours. Anyone with any information about the tragedy is asked to contact PC Richard Hall, of West Kent Police, on 01732 771055.
