A police watchdog has launched an investigation into the death of a man at Tonbridge police station.
The 29-year-old was arrested and taken to the Pembury Road site on Friday, October 13.
While in custody, he collapsed. Despite the efforts of paramedics, he died at 5.45pm.
His arrest followed allegations of a domestic incident on Sunday, October 1.
The case was referred to the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPPC), which investigates complaints against police forces in England and Wales.
A spokesman said: "The IPCC were informed and investigators were deployed to the scene and post-incident procedures.
"Officers have provided accounts, a CCTV trawl has been made of the area where the man was arrested and investigators are assessing CCTV footage recovered from the police station."
"The man’s next of kin have been informed and the IPCC will provide them with updates on the investigation throughout. At this stage all officers are being treated as witnesses."
