Pupils were given expert advice at rehearsals for their version of the West End hit Miss Saigon.

Youngsters at Valley Park School, in Huntsman Lane, Maidstone are preparing to perform the dramatic musical at the town’s Hazlitt Theatre.

On Monday, they were treated to a visit from actress and soprano Claire Moore, who played the character of Ellen on the London stage.

The class was spoilt for opinions this week as Peter Polycarpou, who was John in the West End show, held a masterclass with them today.

The school will take over the Earl Street theatre between Tuesday, June 25, and Saturday, June 29. Performances start at 7.30pm.
