A woman killed on the A20 London Road near West Malling was a highly experienced motorcyclist, described as "an angel with Honda wings".
Police have named the victim of as Jane Wilson, 46, who died in a collision with a lorry while on a Sunday ride on July 4.
An inquest has been opened and adjourned.
Greta Estall, Jane's mother, said: "Jane was a very caring person. She took in all the waifs and strays.
"She was a psychiatric nurse caring for geriatric patients. She helped me enormously over the last eight months which have been extremely difficult and I don't know what I will do without her."
She leaves behind three children Christopher, 21, and Peter, 19, and Lucy, 23 and three grandchildren Chloe, four, Zach, three and Sophie five months.
Her son Christopher said: "There are no words that can do justice to her."
His brother Peter described their mother as "an angel with Honda wings".
Lucy said: "My children will grow up not knowing their wonderful granny."
Jane's closest friend Gary said: "Jane was one of the safest riders on the road.
"She was highly qualified and trained instructor/observer.
"She helped out at many bike training events for other riders throughout Essex."
Gary said, "I've lost my best friend. She was my wingman. I'll never look in my mirror and see her again. I miss her so much.
"She was just in the wrong place at the wrong time and as a result, she sadly lost her life. God bless Jane."
Jane's family and friends would all like to thank Kent Police and anyone who helped at the scene of the accident.
Her funeral will take place in her home town of Rochford, Essex, on July 23.
