The AA’s patrolmen soon become experts at tracking down the best services while on the road. So it’s a real honour for Mickey’s Diner on Blue Bell Hill, Maidstone, to win the AA Patrol Approved Award for Best Toilets in the UK.

Michael Schembri, from Mickey’s, said: “We are so thrilled to have won this award and thank you so much to Andy Gallop, the AA patrol who originally nominated us. We work hard to give our customers the best quality service and look forward to showing off our plaque.”

Andy Gallop, an AA patrolman from Kent, nominated the venue. He said: “Mickey’s deserves to win. The facilities are always clean and fresh.”
