After another upset in the Fourth Round of the FA Cup, Maidstone United have their eyes set on another Championship giant-killing next week.
The Stones will make the 140-mile trip to Coventry City on Monday, February 26, with the hopes of making history.
Manager George Elokobi and his men have already captured the hearts of the town after the side’s historic 2-1 win over Ipswich last month and will be wanting to put smiles on their fans’ faces once more.
Thousands of fans will travel up to Coventry to watch the game, while thousands more will be watching along at home, or down the pub, with the match being broadcast on ITV4. Here’s where you can watch…
The Gallagher Stadium
Home to the Stones, what better place to watch them try to cause another upset than the Spitfire Lounge.
Doors will open at 6.30pm, with plenty of time to get a drink before the 7.45pm kick off.
McGinty’s Party Bar
The recently opened Irish-themed bar in Gabriel’s Hill will be showing the match and offering several deals.
Punters can purchase a pint for £2 or a cocktail for £3.95 as they cheer on Elokobi’s black and amber army.
Doors are opening at 6pm and there is no cost to enter.
BALLIN’ Maidstone
In nearby Bank Street, BALLIN’ will be hosting its own viewing party for any fans who want to watch the game.
Opening their doors from 6.30pm, the venue is encouraging those coming to wear any Maidstone United shirts they have.
It is described as “family friendly” with free entry for everyone. However, anyone under 18 must be accompanied by their parents.
Coach House
Just like in the last round, Coach House in Queen Ann Road will have the footy on its screens.
Doors are opening at 5pm with a variety of pies, pasties and sausage rolls on offer.
There are screens inside the pub as well as outside in the garden area.
Children and dogs are welcome.
