Have you recently had a stay or treatment at Maidstone Hospital and want to say a special thank you to staff or a team?
It could be to a member of staff, or to a particular team, but the Kent Messenger wants to hear about it.
The KM has teamed up with the Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust to launch a readers’ award, which will be presented at the trust’s staff awards in September.
We want to hear from anyone who feels a staff member or team has gone above and beyond the call of duty to deliver outstanding care, or treatment.
It could be anyone at Maidstone Hospital who you feel is worthy of recognition. It might be the efforts of a porter, cleaner or cook just as much as a nurse, midwife, doctor or surgeon – and your story could lead to that staff member being presented with the KM award.
The winner of the readers’ award will be judged by a panel at the newspaper which includes editor Bob Bounds. The winner will be presented at the trust’s staff awards, which are due to take place on Wednesday, September 30.
We will also feature your stories about your nominees in the Kent Messenger.
Glenn Douglas, chief executive of the Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust, said: “These annual awards give us an excellent opportunity to recognise and celebrate the tremendous day-in, day-out commitment and dedication of our staff and thanks go to the people who matter the most to us – our patients.”
Please send us your nominations, no more than 250 words to: Mary Graham, Kent Messenger, 6-7 Middle Row, Maidstone, ME14 1TG, or email mgraham@thekmgroup.co.uk
The deadline for nominations is Monday, September 14. Please include full contact details and a daytime contact number on your nomination.
