Aylesford (red) lost their seventh game of the season at Gravesend last weekend
Pride and local bragging rights will be up for grabs when Aylesford Bulls host Maidstone in the eagerly awaited London 1 South derby clash on Saturday.
Both teams will be searching for their first win of the season when they meet at the Bulls' Jack Williams Ground and a big crowd is expected for the first ever league meeting between the two sides.
"We have played each other many times in cup competitions, and they are always passionate affairs, and this one will be no different the same," said Bulls chairman Roger Williams.
"There are good links between the two clubs, but a win this weekend will hopefully be the start of our return to form."
Despite losing all seven league matches to date, Mr Williams is far from downhearted although he knows they need to pick up quickly if they are to maintain their newly-acquired status for more than one season.
He said: "We need to win at least eight of our remaining games, having played most of the top sides so far this season, but haven’t been embarrassed.
"We have been in front in five matches so far but haven’t been able to hang on."
Maidstone director of rugby, Andy Golding, said: "We're just focusing on getting our first win, we should have had a few already.
"There's local interest but it's just another game in our league programme and we're confident we can put up a good show.
"We've been improving steadily game by game."
