A high street has now reopened after police investigated a crash involving a pedestrian in West Malling.

The street was closed for several hours after the accident at just after 9am today.

Collision investigators are now appealing for witnesses, after the 85-year-old local woman was left with serious head injuries.

The air ambulance was called and the woman was taken to a hospital in London.

Enquiries are being carried out to locate a next of kin.
