Firefighters used climbing gear to reach a woman injured in a cliff fall this evening.

The woman was rescued from the cliff at Bluebell Hill near Chatham at about 7pm.

The police helicopter was spotted hovering overhead, and officers called fire crews to help with the rescue near Common Road.

Firefighters provided first aid and oxygen before passing the injured woman to paramedics.

It is believed she was taken to a local hospital.
