A woman was reportedly robbed in her hotel room, just hours after another victim had been targeted at home.
Police have charged two suspects following the incidents, alleged to have happened last Thursday (October 3).
In the first, a victim was at her home near Hart Street, Maidstone, when she answered the door.
It is alleged two men entered the property and threatened her before stealing a mobile phone, cash and some jewellery.
Later that day a different woman, who was staying at a hotel in Sittingbourne, reported two men had entered her room.
It is said she was also threatened before cash, bank cards and mobile phones were stolen.
One of her bank cards was then allegedly used in an attempted fraud.
Following a police chase the following day, officers arrested one suspect while the second was detained on Tuesday (October 8).
Darren Porter, of Gravesend, was later charged with two robberies and dangerous driving.
The 45-year-old appeared before Sevenoaks Magistrates’ Court where he was remanded to a hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on November 4.
Aaron Charlery, of Gatland Lane, Maidstone, was also charged with two robberies as well as fraudulent use of a bank card.
The 24-year-old was due to appear at Medway Magistrates' Court today (October 10).
