A woman has been taken to hospital after being struck by a car in Maidstone.

Police were called to the scene of the incident in King Street just after 6.50pm yesterday.

Paramedics joined officers before taking the woman to Tunbridge Wells Hospital with a head injury.

Her injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

A police cordon was raised between Link Pharmacy, at the junction of Queen Anne Road and Morlings Solicitors, towards Albion Place.
