A woman has been talked down from jumping off a town centre bridge this afternoon.
Officers were called to The Broadway Bridge in Maidstone at around 1.30pm after reports a woman, in her 20s, was threatening to jump into the River Medway.
Two police vehicles attended the scene, with officers able to talk the woman, who was sitting on the wall at the edge of the crossing, down from her position.
A Kent Police spokesman said: "Officers were called to the bridge at 1.25pm after concerns were raised about a woman's welfare. She has now been removed from the bridge and has been taken to hospital for a check up."
The incident follows a similar one on Saturday on the same section of bridge when a woman was removed and taken to hospital by police after concerns were raised.
