A woman was repeatedly kicked in the face by a female attacker who walked off leaving her on the ground.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the alleged assault, which happened near the cannon in Maidstone High Street.

A woman in her 20s was approached and kicked in the face multiple times.

The suspect is described as female, aged in her 20s, and 5ft 5in. She left the victim on the ground and walked away.

The attack happened between 3am and 3.25am on Sunday, May 28, but details have only just been released.

Police would like to speak to anyone with information about the incident, or about the identity of the suspect.
