Dozens of firefighters spent more than 19 hours tackling a woodland blaze.
Six pumps and a water pump were called to Angley Woods, in Cranbrook, at 6.15pm on Saturday, after flames spread through a hectare of land.
Crews managed to suppress the fire by about 8pm and scaled down the operation an hour later.
They remained at the scene until 1.10pm on Sunday to damp down various hot spots.
The wooded area was severely damaged by the incident, which crews believe may have been started accidentally by a discarded cigarette.
