A road is due to be closed next week so that repair work can be done after a fire at The Chequers Inn pub two months ago.
High Street, Aylesford, will be closed from July 22 for up to 21 days to complete fire repair damage on the pub.
A fire believed to have started in the kitchen at The Chequers Inn pub erupted in May forcing the pub to close.
Crews battled the blaze at the historical building for a number of hours.
The pub has been temporarily closed since the incident and repairs will begin next week.
KCC highways have said the 7.5 tonne weight restriction order will be temporarily suspended between the junctions with High Street, Bull Lane, Pilgrims Way, Rochester Road, and vice versa.
They added the notice applies when the relevant signs and barriers are on site and is valid for no longer than 21 days.
The pub shared an update on their Facebook page writing that the road closure is needed to put scaffolding up.
"We apologise for the inconvenience this will cause," they write.
"It has taken longer than we would have liked to start the works but we are a Grade 2 Listed Building and it has taken time to source the materials needed, as we need to ensure we’re using original materials to keep the building’s history."
They also said that they always try to use local businesses so Ayelsford based company Logix Surveying will be carrying out the repair work.
"While we don’t have any time scale yet for reopening, we’re look forward to seeing you all as soon as we can."
