Goodies signed by a former X Factor winner are among the prizes up for grabs at a school’s Christmas raffle.
Singer-songwriter Matt Terry, who won the ITV talent show in 2016, is donating signed copies of his merchandise to win at Loose Primary School’s PTA Christmas fair on Saturday, November 25.
Matt, whose family is from Maidstone and whose niece attends the school, apologised that he would not be able to make it to the fete in Loose Road, Maidstone.
In a message to the community, he said: “Unfortunately I will not be able to make the Christmas fair this year but I have been hearing about all the amazing work the PTA has been up to so I am going to put something special towards your raffle and I hope you have a really good fair.”
Matt’s sister-in-law and PTA member Nikita Terry said: “This year we are raising funds to contribute towards the school’s ambitious plans to develop a large-scale sensory garden and woodland walk which will benefit the students, staff and wider community through unique learning opportunities, engagement events and a place where the children of the community can experience a closeness with nature.
“At the heart of this project is a strong desire to create a space that can be used by all our young people, particularly those with special educational needs, to help our whole community flourish.”
Upon winning The X Factor, Matt reached number 3 in the charts with his single, When Christmas Comes Around, which was written by Ed Sheeran.
