Former Kent schoolboy Freddy Parker has made it through to the X Factor live shows.
Freddy, 18, from Ashford went to Sutton Valence School near Maidstone.
He impressed judge Nicole Scherzinger and her guest Calvin Harris with a rendition of Ellie Goulding's Love Me Like You Do.
Fellow contestants Matt Terry and Ryan Lawrie also made it through to the live shows.
Viewers saw Nicole arrive on the beach by jet-ski and step ashore to reveal she was wearing just white shorts and a bright blue bikini top. The former Pussycat Doll singer told the group: “I see I might have the winner of X Factor 2016 right here. But first, today is playtime. So who wants to come in the water with me?”
Last week Freddy confessed to The Sun that he had been convicted of drink driving after crashing his car and getting a year ban – reduced to nine months after he took a drink-driving course in February.
He said: “I was at a party with my mates, we all crashed out, I woke up and me and my mate wanted to go home. I thought I was OK but I never stopped to think about whether I was over the limit. We were about two minutes from home, I went round a bend and skidded into a ditch.
“I don’t know how but the car was written off. I called my mum and she told me to walk home and we would talk about it when I got home. They took me to the police station and I gave a urine test and I was over the limit. It was such a stupid error of judgement. I was so naive to think I could touch even a bit of alcohol and get behind the wheel of my car."
There have also been rumours of romance between Freddy and fellow contestant Caitlyn Vanbeck who was knocked out of the TV talent show by Simon Cowell last night. Caitlyn tweeted: “Since I’ve met Freddy I’ve been obsessed with him, he’s such a babe omg literally my brotha from another motha x.”
He wrote: “Whatever the outcome tonight, I feel utterly blessed and grateful to have done this incredible experience, and for the support from you guys.”
