X Factor star Jake Quickenden is set to appear at a Maidstone nightspot this weekend.

The singer, who made it to the live shows of this year's competition, will be at Gallery nightclub, in Bank Street, on Saturday night.

The heartthrob was voted off the ITV series in week three but was not away from TV screens for long.

Less than four weeks after the hopeful was eliminated from the singing contest, he entered the Australian jungle to take part in I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.

He managed to win over the public during his 18-day stint in the camp and left as the series' runner-up with former World Superbike champion Carl Fogarty taking the crown.
