Stars are lining up to spread some Christmas spirit in Maidstone – and they want local youngsters to join them.
Former Coronation Street hearthrob and Dancing on Ice star Danny Young; Richard and Judy’s daughter Chloe Madeley, herself a Dancing On Ice finalist, and Chris Edgerley from CITV’s Hi5 will be starring in this year’s Hazlitt Theatre pantomime, Cinderella.
Staged by Blue Genie Entertainment, the show runs from December 8 to January 13, and promises to be bigger and better than ever.
Managing director Gary Telfer said: “We are thrilled to be bringing the most popular pantomime, Cinderella, to Maidstone this Christmas.
“It promises to be the biggest and most magical pantomime ever staged at the venue. We have an exceptional cast this year – I think there will be someone to appeal to everyone.”
Organisers are offering children and young people from eight to 15 the chance to audition to appear alongside the stars in this year’s show at try-outs this Sunday.
They will be held at the Hazlitt Theatre from 10.30am on Sunday.
Eight to 10-year-olds can audition from 10.30am, with 11 to 13 years starting at 12.30pm, and 14s and 15s at 2.30pm. To take part, simply turn up on the day to register and take part in the audition.
Ticket prices start from £11 and can be booked at the box office on 01622 758611 or by visiting www.maidstonepanto.co.uk
