A huge fashion retailer has shut down one of their branches in Kent without warning.
The Zara store in Fremlin Walk, Maidstone, has closed after its last day of trading on Monday.
Located next to Suit Direct and Three, it was spotted today with the shutters down and mannequins removed from the display windows.
The closure is a massive blow to the town centre during the festive period.
It was joined by H&M, River Island, and House of Fraser in the shopping complex.
Despite this, the retail giant behind Zara recently revealed strong sales ahead of Christmas as its autumn/winter collection was “well received” by shoppers.
Inditex, which also runs the Bershka and Pull & Bear brands, said that sales increased by 14% over the six weeks to December 11.
The Spanish fashion group operates more than 5,700 stores globally.
Customers can find their nearest branch at Bluewater Shopping Centre in Greenhithe.
It is not yet known why the store has closed or if it will relocate.
Zara has been approached for a comment.
