Charlton came from behind to ensure they remain in the top half of the Championship on Saturday.

The Addicks were grateful to Johann Berg Gudmundsson's equaliser with 15 minutes left to earn them a point at Hillsborough.

Guy Luzon's Charlton side went behind four minutes before half-time when Lewis Buxton's cross was converted by Caolan Lavery.

Charlton had already seen a Chris Eagles effort ruled out for offside - which Luzon claimed after the game was the wrong decision - while Simon Church's close-range effort was somehow kept out by Wednesday keeper Keiren Westwood.

The visitors did get back on level term when Westwood couldn't hold Eagles' shot and Gudmundsson converted the rebound but it could have been different story late on as Wednesday twice hit the wodwork, through Lavery and Lloyd Isgrove.

The host nearly snatched a winner in stoppage time but Atdhe Nuhiu headed wide when it seemed easier to score.
