Anger as Kedwell quits Stones

MIDFIELDER Danny Kedwell has left Maidstone United and is expected to sign for Doctor Martens League club Chatham this week.
Chatham manager Clive Walker confirmed that he had put in a seven-day approach for Kedwell who was on trial at Gillingham earlier this season.
Kedwell was in the squad for Maidstone's 2-2 Kent League draw with Ramsgate on Saturday, but left the ground during the game.
Stones boss Mal Watkins said that he had "bent over backwards" to try and help Kedwell.
The former Tonbridge and Lordswood player had wanted to play Sunday football for Quested, but this would have breached his contract with Maidstone.
Watkins consequently agreed to tear up Kedwell's contract and keep him on a week to week basis, but after a breach of club discipline he was released.
Watkins said: "He's taken his fellow players for mugs and he's made the club look like a mug. I bent over backwards for him.
"He is a young lad and he takes advice from too many people. He tries to keep everybody happy rather than the people that really matter."
