MEDWAY & Maidstone Athletics Club will make its first appearances at the weekend by competing in two county relay championships.

The club, formed following the merger of Medway AC and Maidstone & Rochester AC two months ago, have entered teams into the Kent Road Relay Championships at Sutcliffe Park on Saturday.

There will also be some Medway & Maidstone teams at the Kent Track Relay Championships, at Tonbridge School, on Sunday.

However, the sprint relay quartets of Maidstone & Rochester and Medway, who have been used to racing together all summer, are likely to remain separate for this meeting.
