Relegated Maidstone have announced who will be leaving the club - and it’s a lengthy list.
Manager George Elokobi is making wholesale changes at the Gallagher as United prepare for National South.
Eleven players will be leaving when their contracts expire this summer but supporters’ player-of-the-year George Fowler has signed a new deal.
The departures of Joan Luque, Jerome Binnom-Williams and Regan Booty had already been made public.
Also leaving are goalkeepers Tom Hadler and Yusuf Mersin, defender Jack Cawley, midfielders Dominic Odusanya, Henry Woods, Mark Marshall and Tushaun Walters, and striker James Alabi.
Loanees Dan Barden, Kevin Berkoe, Mamadou Jobe, Ryan Galvin, Ryan Viggars and Yoan Zouma have all returned to their parent clubs.
Stones chief executive Bill Williams said: “May I take the opportunity to thank all the players who will be leaving the club this summer and wish them all the very best for the future.
“Those who were here the season before last will forever have a place in the club’s history for their part in our championship success and the joy they brought after the two Covid seasons.
“I extend that thanks to those who joined us on loan this season and to their parent clubs for the help and support they gave us.
“It’s essential we hit the ground running for next season and George has already started talking to some of last season’s squad and is meeting with some players we want to bring to the club.
“Let me put you all on standby for some announcements in the next few days as we start to rebuild.”
Elokobi confirmed earlier this month he had offered centre-back Fowler a new contract.
That’s now been signed.
Fowler said: “You wouldn’t really get a fanbase this season where we’ve lost so many games and yet they’ve still cheered every game, they’ve travelled to all the away games.
“That just shows what kind of club this is - one I bought into and fell in love with when I first came.”
