Platts Heath racer Jake Hill has agreed a new deal to drive for Laser Tools Racing with MB Motorsport for the 2024 British Touring Car Championship.
Hill finished third in the BTCC for the West Surrey Racing Squad last season, notching six victories and 12 podiums including a win at Brands Hatch in the final round of the year.
Next season marks a landmark campaign for Laser Tools Racing in particular as they celebrate their 10th year on the grid of the UK’s premier motor racing championship. The affectionately named ‘Laser Beemer’ stole fans' hearts last year and plans are already well under way for its 2024 and anniversary iteration - and Hill cannot wait to get back behind the wheel.
“It is amazing to have everything lined up for 2024 already, this is the earliest I have ever managed to pull everything together and my thanks go out to everyone at Laser Tools Racing with MB Motorsport for making another year together possible,” Hill said.
“The combination of Laser Tools Racing with MB Motorsport, WSR and the BMW 330e M Sport proved to be a winning one last time out and I am encouraged with all the work going on behind the scenes that we can go even better in 2024.
“It’s a big year for everyone at Laser Tools Racing as they celebrate 10 years in the BTCC so it’s a privilege to be the one chosen to represent them in 2024. Rest assured me and the whole team will be giving it our all to make it a year to remember for everyone.”
The championship gets under way on April 27-28 at Donington Park.
