Goalkeeper Chris Lewington has left Maidstone United for Isthmian League side Cray Valley.
The experienced shot-stopper has been with the Stones since 2019 and had previously been on the books of Dagenham, Colchester, Margate and Welling. He made 25 appearances for the Stones.
Maidstone boss Hakan Hayrettin said: “Chris has been a good servant to this club and we wish him the very best at Cray Valley.
“He’s enjoyed a fantastic professional career and is at that stage of life where training three mornings a week wasn’t fitting in with his day job. His move to Cray Valley will give him the best of both worlds and he’s got a lot to offer that club as they strive to achieve their ambitions.”
Lewington, 33, told Cray’s website: “I’m really excited to sign and be part of the squad for next season.
“It sounds like a fantastic project that’s going on at the club. Obviously the aim is to get promoted and be challenging right at the top of the league, which will be fantastic. I’m really hoping we can do something special.”
Manager Kevin Watson added: "From our first meeting, it was clear that Chris holds the character traits that we value in our players. He understands the aspirations of the club, and the ethos that we present.
"He has a wealth of experience in the game and I have no doubt that he is a valuable asset moving forward. The management team look forward to working with Chris.”
