Maidstone head of football John Still has received an award from the League Managers’ Association.

Still was presented with the special achievement award at the LMA dinner last night, in recognition of more than 40 years in management.

The 69-year-old retired from football management at Barnet just after Christmas, stepping into a head of football role at the Hive.

He now holds the same position at Maidstone, the club where he landed his first Conference title in 1989.

Still won non-league’s top flight on two more occasions, with Dagenham in 2007 and Luton Town in 2014.

A glittering career in management also saw him take the Daggers into League 1 after winning the League 2 play-off final at Wembley in 2010

Still has also managed Peterborough and Barnet in the Football League.

Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder was named LMA manager-of-the-year after guiding the Blades to the Premier League.

He pipped Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola, who was crowned Premier League manager-of-the-year.
