Patrick Hawker led the way as the Maidstone Half-Marathon returned to the athletics calendar on Sunday after a two-year absence.

KM Group photographer Barry Goodwin captured the action as Hawker conquered a new route for the 2022 challenge in 1hr18min38sec to finish 2min25sec ahead of Daniel Young.

Steve Wright (1:22.28) completed the top three, with 238 finishers making it home.

Charlotte Johnston was 16th overall and first lady home in 1:32.53, with Tanya Cornish 24th overall and second in the ladies' race in 1:36.03. Troy Jane Penfield was just eight seconds behind Cornish in 25th place for third lady.
