Tom Loynes put Town in front with Ian Pulman scoring either side of half-time to give the hosts a 3-1 lead after Brendan Murphy-McVey equalised.

Matty Guila made sure of the win with Whitstable's fourth just after the hour.

An injury-time equaliser from Jordan Wells saved Hythe Town in a bottom-of-the-table clash at Walton Casuals.

Phil Stevenson's penalty put Town in front after the break but Gabriel Odunaike levelled two minutes later and Malik Ouani put Casuals in front.

Wells made it 2-2 but Hythe dropped to second-bottom after Folkestone's shock 2-0 defeat at strugglers East Grinstead, whose scorers were Sam Schaaf and Keiron Pamment.

Herne Bay had Gary Sayer sent off at the end of their 2-1 defeat at Redhill.
