CHAMPIONS: members of the D&S Property Services team

D&S Property emerged as champions of the Malling & Maidstone Netball League after beating closest rivals Service Masters 7 on finals night.

D & S Property won a closely-fought division one title decider 38-35.

The summer league’s first division is a versatility division in which players do not play in their normal positions, making for more interesting and versatile fixtures between the higher ranked teams of the league

In the division two final, Panthers beat Pearl Insurance 42-36 in another close match, with good netball from both teams

League newcomers Lites emerged triumphant in their final division three match against Headcorn, winning comfortably 54-32.

In division four, All Saints beat Panther Babes 54-32 in their final. This was a good effort by Panther Babes, who are a young team with only a few years senior netball experience

Shepherd Neame sponsored the finals event, the first time the league has run a summer league finals event. The day proved very successful and will become an annual event. The winter league starts on September 21.
