Orlando Smith is ready to entertain Maidstone fans after a nine-month injury nightmare.

The winger made his comeback following two knee operations when Stones hosted Concord Rangers in a pre-season friendly last weekend.

Smith was a crowd favourite with his flying runs down the right flank last season and the 25-year-old is confident he’ll soon be back to his best.

He said: “As you can see, I’m a naturally talented person. I just need to get my fitness and sharpness up, then everything will be fine.

“Give it a month and I’ll be back at the top. I’m just the entertainer – and the crowd love it.

“Before I get the ball, I picture what I’m going to do. My vision is one of my strong points.

“If I beat one person and can’t pass to a team-mate, I’ll try to beat the next person.

“If there’s still nothing on I’ll take everyone on and it works all the time.

“Opponents just don’t know what I’m going to do.”
