Hakan Hayrettin felt Maidstone should have had two penalties in their defeat at Eastleigh.
The Stones were a goal down when Justin Amaluzor appeared to be tripped in the box.
Nothing was given and Hayrettin's frustration was compounded when Amaluzor went down again but was booked for diving.
Head coach Hayrettin said: "They're penalties, 100%. If that first one's given it could change the game.
"The second one is a penalty, too. Why would he go down there?"
It was a frustrating night all round for Maidstone in their 2-0 defeat.
They didn't see much of the ball in the first half but defended well until a lapse in concentration from a cross saw Chris Zebroski open the scoring two minutes before the break.
Maidstone had a go in the second half but Mark Yeates added a late second after the visitors switched off again.
Hayrettin said: "We didn’t defend the ball for the first goal, it was an unopposed cross, we didn’t deal with the first phase, second phase and they score.
"We had a lot of discipline without the ball but if you’re going to go to sleep from a cross, like we did, they’re going to score.
"It’s poor defending by us if I’m being totally honest and then the second goal is the same because the ball hasn’t gone out and we’ve stopped, they’ve gone down our right-hand side, pulled it to the edge of the box and they’ve shot and it’s a goal.
"The first half wasn’t us, the second half was us.
"First half we defended with discipline but when we got the ball we didn’t do what we should have done to get at them, we just tried to contain.
"Second half we did a lot better but it wasn’t to be."
Hayrettin was also unhappy with the challenge that ended midfielder Michael Phillips' involvement before half-time.
He said: "In another game, in my opinion, the fella that tackles Michael Phillips, it’s a red card but he didn’t even get a caution. He's now got a big gash on his ankle."
