Tim Reeves retained the British F1 Sidecar championship on Sunday after completing a 100 per cent winning run.

Reeves, from Aylesford, and his passenger Patrick Farrance won every race they competed in and set lap records at every circuit.

They even missed two rounds and four races because of their involvement in the World Championship, but were still able to claim the British crown.

The pair dedicated both wins at Snetterton on Sunday and the British title to fellow competitor Steve Norbury who died while racing in Germany last weekend.

Reeves said: “We are both really pleased to have won the title for a second year but we are saddened by the loss of Steve Norbury.”

Norbury’s racing partner Rick Long remains in a German hospital after suffering severe leg injuries.

The practice and qualifying sessions at Snetterton were dominated by Reeves but a bad start in the opening race saw the Aylesford racer drop to third.

Reeves and Farrance fought back, however, to take the opening race win by 5.6 seconds ahead of Sean and Mark Hegarty.

Another slow start from Reeves for race two left him in sixth at the end of lap one but by lap four he had regained the lead and held on for another win and the title.

Reeves and Farrance head to France this Sunday to contest the final round of the World Championship which can still be won by the British pair.
