Maidstone are out to drag another team into the National League relegation scrap this weekend.

They go to Solihull Moors tomorrow (Saturday) looking for back-to-back wins for only the second time this season.

United pulled Torquay into the trouble with a 2-1 win at the Gallagher last weekend and have Moors, who sit 16th, next in their sights.

Victory would move Stones only two points behind the Midlanders.

Stones boss Jay Saunders, his side a point clear of the drop zone in 20th, said: “Solihull is an opportunity to drag another team into it.

“When you look at it, there’s eight or nine teams in that battle above the bottom four.

“You normally get two or three who put a run together and get out of it but you also get one who drops down, like Torquay. They looked safe a month ago and now look.

“All the way up to Bromley, they’re only nine points above us, and Sutton, who’ve looked safe all season, are only seven points above us.

“If we can get back-to-back wins or even three on the bounce, it would give the boys so much confidence.

“It won’t be easy at Solihull by any stretch of the imagination but the boys were buzzing after Saturday and if we can get another win, all of a sudden the teams above us are looking over their shoulder.”

Striker Yemi Odubade (foot) is the only player missing for Maidstone.
