Stones lose out in basement battle

Bottom-of-the-table Maidstone went down 2-1 at fellow strugglers Staines in the Women's Conference East on Saturday.

They fell two goals behind through Alex Stacey (14) and Tilly Brampton (48), before Kathryn Waldrom pulled back a goal after 69 minutes.

Sevenoaks lost 4-3 at home to leaders Indian Gymkhana in the Men's Conference East. Their goals came from George Torry (21), Neil Smith (33) and Tim Warrington (59).

Sevenoaks recovered to defeat Ipswich 6-1 on Sunday thanks to a hat-trick from Warrington, along with strikes from Nick Mclaren, Adam Fullwood and Smith.

Sevenoaks suffered two defeats in the Women's Conference East. They were beaten 1-0 at Harleston Manor on Saturday and lost 3-1 at home to Horsham on Sunday.
