Maidstone United have signed AFC Wimbledon striker George Oakley on loan for a month.

Oakley, 21, has played three times for League 1 Dons this season, most recently as a second-half substitute in a 1-1 draw against Coventry last month.

The 6ft 2in forward also impressed on loan at Welling and will be available for United’s National League home game against Sutton on Tuesday night.

Oakley joined AFC Wimbledon aged 12, signing his first professional contract in May 2014, and has been prolific at under-18 and under-21 levels.

It's been a busy day at the Gallagher, with midfielder Jack Evans leaving for Margate this morning.
