Former Gillingham goalkeeper Tom Hadler has signed a one-year deal at Maidstone United.
Hadler was a free agent after leaving Ebbsfleet, where he shared the No.1 shirt with Jordan Holmes in the early part of last season.
The Canterbury-based stopper came through the Gills academy, making his League 1 debut against Blackpool in 2018, and also appeared in several Checkatrade Trophy matches.
He left Priestfield at the end of the 2018-19 season, dropping into non-league with Eastbourne before joining Fleet.
At 24, Hadler is looking to establish himself as Maidstone’s first choice following Chris Lewington’s departure to Cray Valley.
“I’m delighted,” Hadler told Stones TV.
“It’s everything I’ve wanted, an opportunity to come in at a big club, get some good football, play a lot of games, put my stamp on it and really make it my own.
“It’s a really exciting period for me.”
Hadler has already sampled the Gallagher Stadium atmosphere as an opposition player.
He was in goal for Gillingham when Maidstone won a Kent Senior Cup semi-final on penalties two years ago.
