Maidstone have signed a young striker on loan from Premier League club Watford.

Jimiel Chikukwa, who plays for the Hornets’ under-23 side, will spend the rest of the season at the Gallagher.

The 18-year-old started his career with Leeds, aged 13, and was a regular in their development side.

He left the Yorkshire giants last summer and was snapped up by Watford after scoring three times while on trial.

Watford say Chikukwa has continued his good form in front of goal since signing for the club.

Chikukwa's arrival follows news of a new contract for midfielder Sam Corne today.
