MAIDSTONE UNITED captain Paul Foley will return to action against Erith Town in the second round of the Kent Senior Trophy at Central Park on Saturday (3pm). He has sat out the last five weeks following an operation to remove a cyst from his knee and he is likely to be on the bench as Stones start with the same 11 for the third match running.

Foley came through a full training session on Wednesday and assistant manager Danny Ward is confident the time is right for a comeback. Ward said: "He has been wanting to play for the last couple of weeks but we felt that would have been too soon. The specialist has given Paul the all-clear so he will play some part in the game".

Maidstone are out for revenge against Erith who beat them 2-1 in the Bass Brewers Kent League at the end of October.

Steve Butler and Ian Court will lead the Maidstone attack which means record signing Steve Jones will again be on the bench

Defenders Paul Ribbens and Dave Scott are still injured while striker Richard Sinden is suspended for another two weeks. If Stones beat Erith they will entertain Cray Wanderers in the last eight.
