Maidstone United manager George Elokobi taking nothing for granted against bottom side Havant & Waterlooville

Maidstone manager George Elokobi is reading nothing into struggling Havant’s league position.
The sides meet tonight (7.45pm) in a rearranged National League South game at the Gallagher.
They’re at opposite ends of the table with United challenging for promotion in fifth place while the Hawks are 14 points from safety at the bottom.
United are looking to bounce back from a 3-2 defeat at St Albans on Saturday, while Havant were thrashed 4-1 at in-form Tonbridge.
The Hawks’ league position is puzzling given the quality at manager Steve King’s disposal but he’s still to win a game since taking charge in September.
Elokobi, though, is taking nothing for granted.
“Havant have always had a good squad,” he said.

“I can’t talk about anyone else’s environment but they are good side and we are going to show them all the respect in our preparations.
“We just need to make sure we go out there and put in a good performance and an effective performance.
“We need goals but at the same time we have to stop them going in at the other end.
“We don’t underestimate any team. Anyone can beat anyone - as we’ve seen.
“Havant’s another team who are fighting for points.
“Do they like where they are? No, so they’ll be trying to get out of where they are but we have to focus on ourselves and make sure we are ready.”
