Tonbridge boss Tommy Warrilow wants Angels' Skrill South survival fate to be decided on the pitch alone

Tonbridge boss Tommy Warrilow has no interest in staying up by default.
There could yet be a twist in the Skrill South relegation battle after Kent rivals Maidstone were told they could play in the Ryman League play-offs, even though their 3G pitch wouldn’t be accepted in the Conference under current rules.
If Stones win the play-offs but can’t go up, it may mean a reprieve for Angels should they finish in the Skrill South relegation zone.
Tonbridge are second-bottom, three points adrift of safety, after Concord scored a controversial injury-time equaliser in a 2-2 draw at Longmead on Tuesday. But Warrilow wants Angels to survive in their own right as they start a run of four games in eight days at home to Basingstoke on Saturday.
He said: “I’ve never been one to rely on anyone. You have to look after yourselves, that’s what I’ve been brought up to believe.
“It would be fantastic for us if we got a reprieve and not nice for Maidstone but I’m not thinking down that line. I want to finish above the bottom three and stay up in our own right."
Leading Concord 2-1, Angels were denied at the death when the referee missed a clear foul on Gary Elphick and awarded a free-kick against the Tonbridge man seconds later, from which Steve King bundled home. Elphick was sent off for his protests and faces a three-game ban.
Tonbridge face a quick return game at Concord on Tuesday and host Dover in a rearranged match on Thursday.
